Reconnu pour sa stabilit\u00e9 thermique (jusqu\u2019\u00e0 +400\u00b0C), son faible coefficient de dilatation, et sa r\u00e9sistance remarquable aux chocs thermiques et aux produits chimiques (\u00e0 l\u2019exception de l\u2019acide fluorhydrique, de l\u2019acide phosphorique et de certaines bases concentr\u00e9es), il est la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour la verrerie chauffable et les r\u00e9actions complexes.<\/p>\n<p>Ce verre est compos\u00e9 d\u2019environ 80 % de silice (SiO\u2082), 13 % de trioxyde de bore (B\u2082O\u2083), d\u2019oxydes alcalins (Na\u2082O, K\u2082O), d\u2019alumine (Al\u2082O\u2083) et d&#8217;autres oxydes.
